A simple but fiendishly hard slide puzzle featuring unique and exclusive images of stunning V8 German sports cars and saloons.

Featuring some of the most awesome and bulletproof performance cars to come out of Germany. All cars here feature the 6.3 AMG Mercedes V8 developing between 457 hp and 571 hp and 630 Nm of torque.

We have featured the SL63 AMG, the CL63 AMG, and the SLS AMG. Some have said that this large V8 “is the epitome of a German hot rod”. The 6.3 started in 1966 when Mercedes engineers took the M100 engine from the Mercedes-Benz 600 limousine and installed it into the W109 S-Class. This resulted in incredible performance for the time and the car was officially launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1968.

The current SL was introduced in 2003 and was facelifted in 2008. This car uses the R230 platform. The SL 63 AMG replaced the supercharged SL 55 AMG of 2005.

We have dedicated one puzzle to the 6.3 liter AMG V8. Built almost completely by hand from a high-strength silicon aluminum alloy, the engine features four-valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, bucket-type cam followers instead of rocker arms and a variable intake manifold. Designed exclusively by AMG, the engine shares no parts with other Mercedes-Benz V8 engines. The cylinder bores feature a twin wire arc sprayed coating, a new process that results in low friction and running surfaces that are twice as hard as conventional cast-iron cylinders. Each engine carries the Mercedes tradition of being signed by its engine builder.

We have focused two puzzles on the front end of the car highlighting the large, power assisted, electro-hydraulic, ventilated, punched and slotted, steel disc brakes. Up front are 14.2 inch discs clamped with AMG six-piston calipers. The SL also features new headlights with ILS - Intelligent Light System and a new speed sensitive steering system.

The AMG CL63 is the seventh car to be fitted with the 6.3 V8 and one of the most extravagant cars to come out of Stuttgart. The CL can be both a hushed cruiser and a bruising high-performance coupe. The figures speak for themselves, here is a two-ton plus luxury coupe that can hit 62mph in just over 4.5sec and run into its 155mph electronic speed limiter with ease. Mercedes Benz does not quote an unrestricted top speed, but it would be around 200mph.

The CL63 has few peers and makes long distance travel impressively effortless with its comprehensive levels of equipment and supreme comfort.

We have also dedicated two puzzles to the SLS AMG which uses the M159 engine. The car is the first to be designed in house by AMG and is the Mercedes spiritual successor to the 300SL Gullwing. Like the 300SL, the car has a long bonnet, gullwing doors and the passengers are seated over the rear axle and the rear of the car is very short.

The SLS also has gullwing doors that swing upwards on gas struts, unlike the SLR which move upwards and forward like the SLR. The doors must be closed manually as an auto-close system would have added 90 pounds (41 kg) to the car. After a detected rollover, explosive bolts situated at the top of the door frame fire and separate the doors from the car for easy passenger exit.

Next to the CL65 AMG 40th Anniversary Edition, the SLS is the only roadgoing Mercedes with the ALUBEAM paint available. The SLS AMG has a rear wing which will pop up at high speeds for stability and handling, and when braking.
A GT3 spec racing SLS will compete in the FIA GT3 European Championship.

In all there are seven images and five levels of difficulty ranging from tough to incredibly hard.

Also included are tools to help out when you get stuck. This version is optimized for the iPad.
